 How To Activate The Referral Feature In Your Account

Step 1: Request That We Activate The Referral Feature

Please submit your request here, and ask us to activate the referral program for you. We’ll be happy to turn it on and walk you through how it works.

Step 2: Expect An Email Confirmation From Us

Expect an email confirming that we've activated the referral program. That email will walk you through the entire feature and show you how it works.

Step 3: Tailor the Feature to Your Liking

Once you’ve requested that we turn on the referral feature, click the “Settings” tab and then click “Referral Settings”. Watch the video on the page, or just jump right in and follow the steps on the page.

Step 4: Ask Customers for Feedback.  Watch the Referrals Roll In!

Q: How much does the referral feature cost?

A: There is no cost. The referral feature is included with your subscription.

Q: How do I add the referral program to my account?

A: Please submit your request here, and ask us to activate the referral program for you. We’ll be happy to turn it on and walk you through how it works.

Q: Why do you have to activate the referral feature for me?

A: We want to make sure you‘re fully aware of the capabilities and intricacies of setting up the discounts before you start using this feature.

Q: Where do I configure the referral program?

A: Once you’ve requested that we turn on the referral feature, click the “Settings” tab and then click “Referral Settings”. See below.

Q: Can I incentivize my customers to refer someone to me?

A: Yes. You choose whether or not to offer an incentive to your customers. The incentives come in the form of discounts off future services. We suggest that you do offer an incentive because this is an easy way to earn repeat business - and it will increase the number of referrals you earn.

Q: What types of incentives can I offer my customers to refer someone to me?

A: Incentives come in the form of discounts off future services. You can decide whether you want to offer a “% off” discount on your services, or a flat dollar discount (for instance, $50 off your next service).

Q: Will those people who were referred get a discount?

A: Yes, but only if you choose to give them a discount. You can decide whether you want to offer a “% off” discount on your services, or a flat dollar discount (for instance, $50 off your next service). Or you can choose not to give them a discount. We recommend that you do offer a discount. This will encourage the person referred to use your services.

Q: How will I know when I get a referral?

A: Activate the notification feature on the referral settings page, and you will receive an email notification that one of your customers just referred you. See below.


Q: What should I do when I get a referral?

A: Contact the person referred and introduce your company to them, and let them know you are there to help if they have any questions.

Q: How do I know who referred the new customer?

A: You can see this in the referral report in your dashboard. Clicks the “Reporting” tab, then choose “Referral Reporting” See below.

Q: I was getting referrals through the survey feature. Does this still work?

A: Yes. The referral feature works with both customer reviews and customer surveys.

Q:  I was getting referrals through the survey feature. Do I have to do something to start getting referrals from customers who write reviews?

A: Nope. you don’t have to lift a finger. You will now get referrals from customers who submit surveys and reviews.
